To All Members

As of Wednesday 2nd July 2008, the Tissue Viability Nurses Association (TVNA) and the Wound Care Society (WCS)  merged to create the Wound Care Alliance UK (WCAUK).  The new organisation will be a multi-disciplinary, charity registered with both Companies House and the Charities Commission, approval is currently awaited. WCAUK  aims to reflect the best of TVNA and the WCS in that the new organisation will retain the significant voice and specialist agenda of TVNA and the educational support for the everyday practitioner a key feature of the WCS.  This is a new and exciting time for Tissue Viability in the UK with WCAUK supporting members in all the facets of their practice and developing its role in the provision of patient information.

The new website should be up and running in the next few weeks.  Until that time, members should avail of their usual website resources using their existing login information.  Once the new website is functional, the old website will cease to exist and if you log on, you will be re-directed to the new WCA website.

Current members of the TVNA and WCS will automatically receive membership to the new organisation. Any TVNA members who are renewing their membership should renew by becoming members of WCS. Their membership of WCAUK will be automatically generated once registered charity status is given.  This is for admin purposes and members will still be able to avail of the TVNA website resources.

WCS members need do nothing as their membership will automatically transfer to the new organisation.

Any queries or concerns should be emailed to us via the websites and we will try to answer them quickly.
